In the blog ” opinion” article titled UBERS NEW YEARS EVE SURCHARGES DEMONSTRATE THE HARSH REALITY OF DYNAMIC PRICING the writer found nothing to complain about for the  three times he booked UBER on NYE but imagined that others would – and they did.

The surprise is what happens when dynamic pricing is sold to you.

UBER employs computer scientist and mathematicians to analyze market conditions and adjust computer driven pricing minute by minute.

Well, he had a lot of nerve being that he wasn’t born in America and there was a time when most American consumers  would take the first price advertised or offered to them.

Such is not the case today.

Groupon, Living Social and things peers are saying has put the power back into the hands of the consumer.   Well, that’s how we feel.

Boston shouldn’t be known for being the 2nd most expensive city in America to take a taxi.

A good deal won’t hold back a woman. Even guys have been seen pulling up the Best Buy web sitep on the internet. Well, the state of Massachusetts is having a Tax Free weekend for shoppers with the money to burn right now !!

It’ll be over by midnight tonight. Area merchants are hoping this gives them the juice to feel better about hiring and expanding a workforce some
of them have been considering for quite a while.

I think I’ll take advantage of the sales, join the crowd and pick out a good mattress if any will be left. Then, everytime  I go to bed, I’ll think about Taxachusetts and say to myself – “Gee, the governor gave us a 6.25%  sales tax break until….. ? “
